Employees of the Alliance and their eligible dependents and domestic partners are eligible to enjoy a variety of benefits, which include medical, dental and vision. Other benefits for employees are generally summarized below. These benefits are available to regular status full-time employees. Benefits become effective the first day of the month following the date of hire.
The Alliance offers two United Healthcare health plans to regular employees and their eligible dependents and domestic partners. Employees may choose either the HMO or the PPO plan. Employees contribute a portion to the monthly premium.
The Alliance offers the Direct Dental Plan to its regular employees and their eligible dependents and domestic partners. Employees contribute a portion to the monthly premium.
The Alliance offers the Vision Service Plan (VSP) to its regular employees and their eligible dependents and domestic partners. The Alliance pays 100% of the employee’s premium. The employee is responsible for the premiums for any dependents they wish to enroll.
The Alliance covers the majority of insurance premium costs for our employees. The following list the break down for the Alliance and employee portion.
401(a) RETIREMENT PLAN
The Alliance provides a retirement plan for eligible employees, and contributes 10% of the employee’s gross pay to a 401(a) retirement account. Employees are eligible and are fully vested in the retirement plan after one year of continuous employment with the Alliance.
457 DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN
This voluntary savings plan allows participants to defer assessment of income taxes on a portion of their salary until a later date. This voluntary plan is funded by employee pre-tax contributions.
LONG TERM DISABILITY (LTD)
This is a 100% employer-sponsored benefit. If you become totally disabled, after a 180-day waiting period, the plan will pay you 60% of your monthly salary to a monthly maximum of $12,000
BASIC LIFE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCES
Regular employees are covered by the Alliance’s life insurance benefit of 1.5 times your basic annual earnings to a maximum of $215,000.
EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM
Employees who refer qualified candidates for standard recruitments will be paid $1,000 upon the referral's hire and successful completion of the six-month Introductory Period. For difficult to fill positions, employees will be paid $2,500.
This benefit offers employees $2,000 annually towards tuition reimbursement for eligible coursework directly related to employee’s current position at the Alliance. Employees are eligible after their successful completion of the 6-month Introductory Period.
The Alliance reimburses for the annual membership fee for regular employees.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAM
The Central California Alliance for Health will reimburse employees, post-tax, a portion of fees for Health / Exercise Club Membership, Yoga Classes / Training, Nutrition and/or Weight Loss Consulting and Smoking Cessation Courses / Instruction. Amounts reimbursed are $100 annually for enrollment / initiation fees and up to $30 monthly for membership / service fees.
FRESH FRUIT DELIVERY
Alliance employees enjoy a twice-weekly delivery of fresh seasonal fruit to each of our office locations.
ELECTRICAL VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS
In alignment with a commitment to environmentally-friendly practices, the Alliance provides electrical vehicle charging stations free of charge to employees with electric vehicles. These charging stations are available at each location.
